German electricity grid development: What's your opinion?

The German Transmission System Operators presented their draft for a 2013 update to the national "Plan on Electricity Grid Development" (Netzentwicklungsplan, NEP). The first of this kind of documents, analysing the grid development needed in the next 10 years, was established in 2012. Every year, this plan will be updated.

For 2013, the scenario framework has already been established. This means that the current consultation is not about what will be Germany's energy mix in 10 years' time - those annual forecasts are already set. Instead, the current consultation is about what would be the best grid development measures to fit to that energy mix.
